FAQs

  • We are currently accepting the following trading card games:

    • Pokemon

    • Magic: The Gathering

    • Yu-Gi-Oh!

We do not currently accept bulk.

  • Here’s how our pricing works:

    • For cards valued over $50.00, we offer 70% of their market value. For example, if you have a card worth $100, you would receive $70.

    • Cards priced between $25.00 and $49.99 will earn you 65% of their value.

    • Cards valued between $10.00 and $24.99, we pay out at 60%.

    • Unfortunately, we can’t buy cards valued under $10.00.

Please note that percentages can fluctuate per tier for the following reasons:

    1. Card Popularity

    2. Current Supply

    3. Actual Condition

If you are selling a collection, please contact us, and we will provide a price for the entire collection.

  • Normally, we only accept cards in near mint (NM) or better condition. However, there are some instances where cards in moderate play (MP) or light play (LP) are considered.

This is why it’s very important to provide clear pictures of your cards so that we can properly assess the condition (which ties in with price).

  • MINT (10-9)

    • Virtually flawless with very minor flaws such as very slight whitening on corners, minor printing imperfections or very slight print stain on back only

    • No appearance of holographic scratching upon inspection (first glance & closer look)

    • Normally reserved for PSA eligible grading

    NEAR MINT (8-7)

    • Appears to be a condition 9 at first glance but upon closer inspection, there may be signs of whitening on multiple corners, minor silvering along the borders or signs of light fraying along the edges.

    • No appearance of holographic scratching at first glance.

    • Very mild print lines may be present with a closer look.

    • A print line is defined as a printing defect that results in a perfectly straight scratch on the holographic foil that doesn’t appear to be man made (i.e. machines involved in the printing process of the card).

LIGHT PLAY - MODERATE PLAY (6-5)

    • Visible surface wear or a printing flaw that doesn’t take away from the overall look of the front face of the card.

    • There may be more signs of very light scratching upon first glance but may be more apparent with a closer look.

    • Whitening and fraying may become more obvious on both sides with additional chipping in some areas.

    • Surface wear becomes overall more noticeable but not extreme.

    • Signs of scuffing and/or light scratches will become more apparent across one or both sides of the card.

    • Edge wear and chipping, discoloration may be noticeable in some areas.

    • Minor creases may be noticeable in certain areas but may not be immediately obvious upon first glance.

    • Scratching and flaking is more noticeable upon first glance along with few scratches sticking out more so than others.

    HEAVY PLAY - DAMAGED (4-1)

    • Surface wear is much more obvious upon first glance which may pull away from the overall appeal of the card’s front and back.

    • Whitening, discoloration, and chipping is obvious upon first glance.

    • One or more creases may be severe enough and may cover large portions of the card. Scratches are very obvious in addition to some or all being extreme.

    • Stains from liquid or other external substances may also be visible.

    • The card is considered not structurally sound.

  • Although an assessment of a trading card’s condition varies from person to person, we do our best to give you an accurate assessment. We do this by following the condition standards set by one of the largest and most reputable trading card resellers in the world: TCGPlayer.

Our team is also equipped with tools that aid in the assessment process such as LED magnifying lights and experience with grading companies like Professional Sports Authenticator (PSA).

  • We take a unique approach when demonstrating our assessment accuracy. For every submission we send to PSA (Professional Sports Authenticator), we give an “assessed grade” beforehand. When the submissions come back, we compare what we assessed with the realized grade. This is how we determine how accurate our assessments are.

PSA Assessment Accuracy Tracker (Updated 4/2/2024)
    PSA 10 (Out of 100 cards): 37%
    PSA 9 (Out of 261 cards): 89%
    PSA 8 (Out of 67 cards): 79%
    PSA 7 (Out of 90 cards): 72%
    PSA 6 (Out of 24 cards): 96%
